Giuseppe Brownell grew up in the Umbria region of Italy.  His exposure to the culinary delights of authentic home cooked Italian meals was what ignited his passion for food.  Many days were spent at his grandmother's side, watching her cook old family recipes.

When Giuseppe moved to the US, he worked in an Italian restaurant where he began dreaming of opening his own place.  His dreams soon became a reality when he met his wife, Robin.  With love and support, Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant was established in 1996 in downtown Denton, TX.  Part of the restaurant's appeal lies in the charm and beauty of it's location, a historic Victorian home. 

In Italy, meals are leisurely affairs which are meant to be relaxing and enjoyable.  Giuseppe has paid special attention to making his restaurant an authentic Italian experience.  More than anything, Giuseppe wants customers to enjoy themselves.  Perhaps it's his attentiveness that really makes Giuseppe's so special.  As Giuseppe says, "Eat slowly, enjoy it.  For me, a good life is good food and good company."
